Why a Beach Music Song?

Michael Bright wrote a special song inspired by something very personal—time spent with his wife enjoying one of their favorite places to visit, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

He titled the song 

“Nothing Else Will Do.”

Michael wasn’t really looking to record Beach Music himself.

 Beach Music wasn’t a direction Michael had ever planned to pursue. His heart has always been in Gospel music, and that is where he intends to remain. But there was something about this particular song that kept telling him, “Why not give it a Try?.”

So, without really knowing what to expect, Michael went into the studio and recorded the song. 

March 2026 he independently released it to more than 150 Beach Music radio stations nationwide.

What happened next was a wonderful surprise.

The song made an impressive debut at #10 on the Beach Music Charts. Just one month later, it had climbed all the way to #5!

And perhaps the most remarkable part of the story— once again Michael accomplished it independently, 

without a promoter, producer, 

or record label.

What began as a simple song about Michael and his wife enjoying time together at Myrtle Beach became one of those unexpected musical moments that proved sometimes you just have to step out on faith and see what God has around the next corner.

While Michael is thankful for the success and support the song received, he is not planning to record any additional Beach Music. His heart and calling remain in Gospel music, and he will continue traveling and singing Gospel concerts, sharing his faith, hope, and testimony through song.
